The goal of the AISHA project is to establish the European AI Skills Academy, systematising evidence on emerging AI skills needs and designing innovative educational programmes for higher-education, vocational and workplace training, as well as experimenting with sector labs, and offering inclusive access measures through a €2,000,000 envelope for scholarship and returnship fellowships targeted to women and disadvantaged learners.
- The European AI Skills Academy has been designed to tackle the profound challenges posed by rapid AI advancements, addressing the widening skills gaps, attracting talents and building a future-proof workforce, enabling cross-sector integration in strategic economic and industry domains, to contribute positioning Europe as a global leader in AI, says AISHA coordinator Gianluca Misuraca.
AI LEARN researchers Kirsty Kitto, Barbara Wasson, Fredrik Breien and Sofie Steinsund Hagen will contribute to building a Common Competence and Qualification Framework (CCQF), which is a shared language that will be used to link skills needs, learning outcomes, assessment, and credentials. AI LEARN will also pilot courses and support the training of people who will train others to use AI.
