On November 24th, LEAD AI is organising a full-day symposium as part of the UiB AI event series. Thoughout the day 19 LEAD AI researchers invite you to engage with topics ranging from explainable and predictive AI, neural networks, and machine learning to storytelling and visualisation systems, information, copyright and text and data mining, digital health and wearable technologies, and questions of journalism, ethics, verification, and information integrity in the age of generative AI.
Set at the centre of Bergen’s interdisciplinary AI research environment, the symposium aims to challenge disciplinary boundaries and open conversations about how AI is reshaping science, culture, communication, creativity, and society.
From AI LEARN you will meet Jessa Henderson and Stephanie de Smale, both postdoctoral fellows at the centre. They will be part of the panel "AI in the Cognitive Loop: Generative AI, Knowledge, and Creative Practice". Here the panelists will look into what it means to think, learn, inform, play, or tell stories with AI in the loop. The session brings these perspectives into conversation and discusses what it means for critical thinking, democratic knowledge production, trust, and human creativity.
Other speakers include: Elise Perrotin, Lars Salbu, Tian Bai, Ermes Franch, Gorka Abad, Kacper Szkalej, Robin Guillaume-Castel, Patrycja Lebiecka-Johansen, Miguel Neves, Laurence Dierickx, Dom Ford, Jakob Kusnick, Alex Wolf, E. F. Haghish, Kévin Dubois, Lisa Haarer, and Priyanka Mehra
The event takes place at Nygårdsgaten 5 in Bergen, and will run from 08:30-15:30.
